Reverence
Responsum
These two pieces are a conversation of sorts with each other.
It started with "Reverence" (left) which was a response to a beautiful towering gum tree seen on my holidays. This painting was centred around the enormity of it's size and how it stopped me in my tracks. Once this work was completed, "Responsum" (right) quickly followed from there as a conversation which is carried on. Like Chinese whispers where the original subject gets distorted and evolves into it's own form.

Immersion
Immersion happened after a time spent exploring the coral reefs in Australia. The intensity of colour and motion of the sea found its way into this work. While the variety of texture found and forms of coral imbedded themselves into a lot of sketches and memory.

Within Silence
Acrylic and Oil on canvas / 42cm x 59cm $1500 Framed
2026 Aspiring art prize finalist
This work is a search for a place to be. A response to a special place that brings solace and pause. We all have, or long for, somewhere we can go to feel safe and serene. Sometimes we dream it before we find it.
When we finally arrive, it’s less like arriving and more like remembering.
